Kid Midnight
SCAD Film
Director: Mychal Sargent
Lead Role: Kid Midnight / Kate (On-Camera & Voiceover)
Description of Role: In my second on-screen role, I played Kate (and her alter-ego Kid Midnight), an imaginative and determined kid with a fierce sense of justice and a heart full of courage. Beneath her bold attitude lies a sensitive, resilient spirit.
This role was a dream to bring to life. I had the chance to do voiceover work, work closely with an armory team, collaborate with stunt coordinators, and even perform a small stunt myself. It was the most incredible experience of my life so far, and I loved every moment of bringing Kate’s brave and curious world to life. I worked with some absolutely amazing folks too!
Catch the Rabbit
SCAD Film
Director: Callum Grobler
Lead Role: Jackie (On-Camera)
Description of Role: In this exciting role, I played Jackie, a brave and resourceful kid who risks everything to recover a beloved plush bunny—one of the last memories of her late father—after a home intruder breaks in. A performance blending suspense, emotional depth, and quiet courage.
This project was such an exciting challenge. Since this film doesn’t have any dialogue, everything had to be expressed through emotion and movement, which made staying in character even more important once we started filming. To prepare, I watched four suspense / thriller films to see how other kids tackled intense, emotional roles. I read the script and took notes on what I wanted to convey for each scene. The actor who played the robber was fantastic to work with, and the whole crew made the experience unforgettable. I loved every minute of it!
My Heart Will Not Stop in Joy
SCAD Student Film
Director: Ka Ho Tsang
Supporting Role: Young Hazel (On-Camera)
Description of Role: In my first on-screen role, I had the incredible opportunity to play young Hazel, the childhood version of the film’s lead character. Hazel is a free-spirited, imaginative girl with a heart full of wonder. She sees magic in everyday life and brings joy and energy to everyone around her. With a playful smile and a thoughtful, sentimental side, she embodies the curiosity and creativity of childhood.
For this role, I learned how to operate a handheld camera—and the footage I captured is actually featured in the film! It was such a fun and unique experience to contribute both as an actor and behind the scenes, helping bring Hazel’s adventurous world to life through her own lens.
